The National Sports Content Sharing Network is an alliance of newspapers set up to exchange stories and columns for publication online and in print.
The NSCSN is modeled on the Ohio News Organization, begun in 2008 by eight Ohio daily newspapers. Two basic principles guide how members use exchanged content:
- Proper, original bylines and credits must be attached to content, whether in print or online
- Online usage may only include a few paragraphs of the original story, and should then link back to the home newspaper's website.
More information about NSCSN can be found via the Those interested in joining the NSCSN should contact Roy Hewitt of the Cleveland Plain Dealer (rhewitt [at] plaind [dot] com).
